I haven’t posted in a hot minute, and while I do have ideas for a few posts, I neither have the time or the gumption to write them now. In an effort to tide you over, I’m going to introduce you to 1001 Rules for My Unborn Son, a site that makes me mad because it’s basically everything I want to write, and now I have to come up with a new way of saying it.

A few sites to keep in mind

Everyone loves great looking gear, especially if you can get it for cheap. Below I’ve listed a few sites that provide just that: great gear,  better prices. Check them out, if you don’t know about them already, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

WhiskeyMilitia.com
Whiskey Militia offers a variety of items, ranging from street clothes to snowboards. The best part is they offer multiple deals a day, so check back if you aren’t digging what they offer the first time around.

SteepAndCheap.com
Steep and Cheap features outdoor gear ranging from camping supplies to clothes. The site works the same way as Whiskey Militia, one deal at a time until it’s gone.

JackThreads.com
If urban/street wear is more your style, Jack Threads offers great deals on limited sneakers, as well as items for the rest of your wardrobe. Unlike the two previous sites, Jack Threads only lists one item a day, so check it early or they could sell out.

Woot.com
One of my personal favorites, Woot offers excellent bargains on electronics. They offer everything from USB powered helicopters to giant plasma screen TVs. Plus shipping is only $5, pretty hard to beat. Like Jack Threads, Woot only offers one item at a time, unless you catch them during a woot-off, in which case the items are sold until they sell out. Woot is also the parent site to Sellout.Woot, Wine.Woot, and Shirt.Woot, so don’t forget to check them out either.

Free Shows

If you’re fresh out of college, or still in for that matter, your budget probably gets a little harsh from time to time. Here at twentysome, we get it. So do the people over at Scion. The Scion House Party series has shows across the country, and they’re usually free with when you RSVP. Check out the site to see who’s playing, and when they’ll be in a city near you.

hint: If you’re in LA, the next show is Feb. 18 at The Roxy on Sunset

The Roadtrip

Moving on from one stage of your life to the next? Graduating from high school? Graduating from college? Graduating from a long-term relationship to a newfound life of bachelordom?  I think you get the point.

The Roadtrip is a great way to get to know your best friends, or even better, get to know yourself. Set up a few markers across the country, pack a bag, and take off.

Flying is great,  but something about driving through the grasslands, the mountains, and the desert is even better. Whenever you have a chance, get out there and see the country. Along the way you’ll meet new people and build on your relationship with you best friends. If nothing else, you’ll take in some excellent scenery.
