It’s about that time, kids. Spring is upon us, and so are the clearance sales. Right now at H&M you can pick up a hoodie for $10. Nuff said.
A Time To Get recently ran a post about footlockers and their rugged, effortless style. They’re heavy, they’ve been beat up, and they look cool as hell. After reading the post, I headed straight to eBay to see how much these babies were going for, surprised to see that most were under $100, but the shipping is a killer. That being said, you could probably pick one up at a surplus store, though it won’t have that worn in look. Safest bet seems to be going to an auction or flea market. The thing about them is they have so many uses. Obviously you could use it for storage, but you could also use it as a coffee table, an end table, an ottoman, or just stack’em up in the corner for aesthetic purposes. Personally, I think I’ll pick one up and use it as a book shelf. A few pictures for your inspiration:

SeeJackShop pointed out that Old Navy is having a sale, and while you might not think of the store for dress clothes, their prices are low enough that you can restock on the essentials and pay for your lady’s dinner. This also brings up a point I’ve been wanting to showcase for a while. Have a look at the two hoodies, one from American Apparel, the other from Old Navy. Both are about the same color and the same fit, probably about equal quality. I’ve personally tried both on and they feel the same. There’s one major difference, other than brand. For the American Apparel version, you’re gonna dish out $45. Old Navy’s will only cost you $20.
The new issue of GQ came in the mail today. I was slightly deterred by the 57 pages of ads before any content, or table of contents for that matter, however I finally started making my way into the stories and was pleasantly surprised. This month they have a feature titled “The Low-Priced, High-Class Business Wardrobe.” I don’t want to spoil it for you right now, so go spend $4 and pick up your own issue.
This sweater (from Old Navy) is $12. Did you hear what I said? Twelve dollars. According to Manshion it’s a nautical themed sweater, according to me it’s a sweater for $12. Either way, it’s cheap. Team it up with some khakis to keep warm on those chilly Spring nights on your boat, or on the bar crawl.
I’ve known about Ten Bills for a while, but this is the first time I’ve seen one of their shirts that I actually enjoyed. I’m usually not a fan of novelty shirts like this, but at $10 it’s not a bad deal.
For me, buying jeans is as easy as finding a pair of Levi’s, so I don’t have to sweat denim prices much. However, if you’re looking to branch out of 501′s, ThisNext has a great guide to affordable jeans.
Also, Gap has adjusted their prices so that all shirts, sweaters, and pants are under $50.
A custom dress shirt is never a bad thing, so two custom dress shirts for the price of one off-the-rack dress shirt certainly qualifies as a good thing. Over at ShirtsMyWay.com you can get just that… the deal is buy one get one free, and it doesn’t last long, so grab ‘em while they last.
Also, someone decided to write zombies into Pride and Prejudice.I saw it pop up on a few sites I read (Uncrate, and I forget the others) so it has to be real. At only $10, I’m willing to read the boring “Pride and Prejudice” parts for some zombie action.
Lastly, Jos. A. Banks is having a gnarly sale where you can get 3 suits for $500, an awesome bargain, especially for those of you who will be graduating this Spring and need to get some “grown up” clothes.

Wolverine Heritage Collection
Because I live in the asphalt jungle that is Los Angeles, I don’t have to worry about trekking through mud or snow on a daily basis. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t keep my ear to the ground for a pair decent boots. Thanks to the folks over at ACL, I think I can stop looking. These boots look great, and they’re from Wolverine so you know they can take a beating if you find yourself in a Survivor Man-ish situation… or have to deal with a few inches of snow. While they may be a little out of our price range, we’re willing to pay for durability, and we’re very anxious to try a pair on.
